Hope For The Planet Exhibition Manchester Call Out

Submit Your Artwork For The ‘Hope For The Planet’ Exhibition

(more info on requirements and on submissions below)

Want to get your artwork in an exhibition & spread a message of hope for the planet? We have the perfect opportunity for students at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Sofia, founder of Terra Movement and also a student of the School of Digital Arts, at MMU, will be hosting an exhibition with the theme of Hope For The Planet. We will create an artist callout for students at MMU to create pieces of artwork that spread a message of hope for the future of our planet.

The exhibition will take place in April 2022 at the Student Union as well as an external venue in Manchester (to be confirmed)

Requirements For Artworks

The piece of work needs to spread a message of hope for our planet. It is open to all students and staff at MMU.

This is open to all creative work including:

  • Graphic Design
  • Illustration
  • Fine Art
  • Digital Art
  • Film
  • Animation
  • Sculpture
  • Textile

Other requirements

  • If making a digital piece, make sure it set on correct print settings eg CMYK to ensure high quality when printing it out

For any questions or if you are not sure if your type of artwork can be included, send a message to Sofia on her Instagram @sofia.the.artivist or send her an email at [email protected]

Once you have submitted your pieces of work we will then print them out in order to display them at the exhibition.

We would love to showcase some short films and animations that again spread a message of hope for our planet. If you are interested in this, get in touch to talk about it more with Sofia.

Gain RISE points

If you are a student at Manchester Metropolitan University, you can gain up to 10 rise points for submitting a piece of work. Take a look :

How To Submit Your Work?

If you are interested in taking part in this, be sure to send an email to [email protected] just to let us know that you’d like to take part (this is so we are aware of how many people will get involved)

You can then email your finished artwork to [email protected] and if the file is too big you can use wetransfer.com. Also, include your full name and student ID in the email and a small description of the piece of work (optional).

If your piece is a physical piece of artwork, and you would like us to showcase the original piece, send us an email so we can arrange that.

Will Everyone’s Artwork Be Showcased At The Exhibition?

It depends on the number of submissions we receive. Even though we would love to include everyone’s work in the exhibition, if we receive many submissions, we may need to choose and curate a selection that will fit with the space.

Don’t Miss This Amazing Opportunity

Don’t miss this chance. Submit your work by the 27th of March! This is your chance to use your creative voice to spread a positive message to the world.

We want to spread a message of hope to the world. Because we still believe that we have a chance to build a better future if we all take action together.

I've always cared about the planet but never knew how I could use my skills to create an impact. But that's when I decided to start Terra Movement. To get other creatives involved in the climate movement and inspire more people to help the planet and its people.
